The Diocese of the Northern Territory is one of the 23 dioceses of the Anglican Church of Australia. Founded in 1968, the diocese is responsible for the ministry of the Anglican Church across the whole of the Northern Territory which comprises almost one fifth of the Australian landmass. The population of the Northern Territory is small in number, only about 200,000 people. The parishes, welfare and educational ministries operate in this challenging environment and serve both indigenous and non-indigenous communities across the expanse of this great area

BISHOP ELECTED
The Rev’d Gregory Edwin Thompson has been elected 5th Bishop of the Diocese of the NT and was Consecrated and Installed on the 31st May 2007 in Christ Church Cathedral, Darwin.
