Welcome to my home page. This page contains information on where to find the birds of Western Australia. I have been birding since late 1987. My WA list is currently 476 species (July 2008). I hope to eventually reach a WA total of 500 species, but this could take quite some time.
The information is set out in the birding sites that I have visited, plus a brief description of where to find each species. I organise a few pelagic boat trips from Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth between June and August to look for seabirds. Contact me for details.
I have included some of my recent sightings, some articles and trip reports that I have written, some bird lists, some photos that I have taken, a list of birding tour operators in WA, a list of references for WA birds and sites, and a list of links to other birding and non birding web sites. I have also included some information about the mammals, reptiles and frogs of Western Australia.
If you regularly look at my site, then I have a What's New section so that you can quickly find the new information.
This information is available for your use, and you are welcome to print it out and copy it for other people, but please don't publish it without asking, as I hope one day to put it all together and publish it as a book.
