A few years ago with the onset of old age, and the consequent onset of deep attacks of nostalgia, I made an attempt to renew contacts with Old Ashebeians of my vintage through my home page. This seemed the only way as this site is coming from Victor Harbor in South Australia.

It worked beyond my wildest dreams as I made contact with one of my closest friends at the time. That story is in another part of this site. I concluded correctly that there must be others who could make contact through this site with long (or even short) lost school friends. Hence this site.

This in no way replaces the Old Ashbeians' Association which is still very active. Having visited Ashby for a reunion in 1999 I made contact with the Association and some of their news and a contact is on this site. Enjoy the site for what it is, which is just what it appears to be. I will not try to sell you anything but nostalgia, and the price is free or better still a contribution of your nostalgia to the site.

So if you are there I invite email, snail-mail, any-mail, phone calls, loud calls, whispers, whines, whinges or any means of communication, which will ENHANCE this site. Rubbish, insults, lewd remarks etc. will neither shock nor impress me, and will be a complete waste of your time.
