Windows based computers should be able to play them without any difficulty, however some people using Mac computers have reported problems. You will find these sounds invaluable because the "listening" process required while learning an instrument is actually more important than the "looking" process. If you can hear and see a piece of music at the same time then you'll learn to play the guitar better, sooner. To my knowledge nobody has ever become a musician by reading a book!
You've probably noticed that the links to sound files with each of the exercises in the tutorial don't appear to work. That's because the links point to your hard drive, so you've got to have the sound files installed on your own computer to make them work. (They'll also load alot faster from your hard drive than these demos from the web.) Why??????...... So I can make a meagre pittance to justify my long hours spent putting together this and the next tutorial so we can infest the ears of non believers with the sweet sounds of strumming and eventually guitar players will take over the world... ha ha ha (evil sounding laugh). The 34 sound files that go with this tutorial will cost you only $US 9. If you wish to buy the off-line tutorial as well (normally $US 6), you can save money by purchasing the sound files and the off-line tutorial together (only $US 13). You can pay on-line, by phone or by post.
