The only way to learn and improve skills is to actually play the guitar. With this tutorial you'll do just that. We combine a simple explanation about a particular aspect with a practical example that you can see, hear and play.
Asuming you have no prior knowledge of the instrument I'd suggest to start at the beginning and work your way slowly through each page. It doesn't matter if it takes a week to master each example. If there are any terms you don't understand look up the glossary. If you can't remember some of the chords look up the chords page. All the text, diagrams and transcriptions in The Ultimate On Line Guitar Tutor are free to use (for non profit purposes only), and sound files for all the exercises are also available. You can also get an off-line version of the tutorial here.
If you're serious about learning or improving yourself as a guitar player I'd recommend using the program in conjunction with the sound files to gain maximum benefit from this tutorial. You'll achieve far more by listening as well as looking.
Good Luck!
