Kaun Banega Crorepati - the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" wasregarded as the most successful show ever to make it onto the small screen in that country. It comes as no real surprise - as the host of Star Plus' shining showcase was none other than Bollywood legend and silver screen megastar, Amitabh Bachchan.

Whilst the money on offer - 10 million rupees - would have make a very healthy addition to the pay cheque of any Indian - most contestants were more than happy in just getting that opportunity to meet the veteran of hundreds of Indian movies in the flesh.

Kaun Banega Crorepati was unique amongst the Millionaire family in that it was bilingual (questions were both asked in Hindi and English).
