We are in New Zealand from 18 July to 2 Aug. I will try to write up something each day, but if there is nothing worthy of reporting or I am just too damn tired, then I may skip a day or two. You’ll just have to log on each day to find out. There will be 6 of us on the trip this year, myself and Gina, our neighbours from over the road (who were here with us last year), Tom and Geraldine, and Geraldine’s sister and brother-in-law, Irene and ‘Tich’. We are flying from Perth to Auckland and then on to Christchurch. The reason for this is because Queenstown airport is too risky during winter, as we found out last year. If there is the tiniest bit of ice on the runway they close the airport… If they did that in Russia the airports would be closed for about 7 months of the year. So this year we decided to fly into Christchurch and then drive to Queenstown, about 500 km… Should be fun…
