Yamaha XJ900S Diversion - only ~15,000km + Staintunes

Great multi-purpose bike for commuting, sports-touring, camping touring and the like.
Also good for outback touring on gravel roads. Excellent fuel range with 24L tank.
Very comfy as a 2up bike. Seat height suits most riders.
Also a good bike for tall people, has comfy & relaxed ergos.
Bulletproof air/oil-cooled engine with a reputation for longevity
(250,000km+ seem to be quite achievable without any hassles).
British bike couriers love this model coz it runs & runs
& runs.
A good summary review of the model can be found here www.motorcyclenews.com.
2001 model, A1 mechanically, nearly like new, “just run in” with only
***~15,000 km*** on the clock. The bike has been ridden gently,
never raced. Garaged. Fully documented service history.
Economical to own/maintain/run:
- Major service interval 20,000km (Valves etc.)
- Recent real life fuel consumption averaged about
5.1L / 100km. Sometimes as low as 4.8L / 100km. (with my riding
style, which is more sedate than sporty).
- Shaft drive
Accessories include:
- Staintune mufflers (new ~$1400)
- Engine crash bars (new$ ~250)
- Ventura rack (new ~$150)
- Centrestand (standard)
- Workshop manual on CD and a print-out
Bike located in Hobart, Tas.
Happy to answer any questions, provide more detailed pics, etc.
Asking $7500.
