Kookaburra Air was formed on 8th January 1996 to provide air charter, air tours and scenic flights. In January 1998 a facility was purchased at Jandakot Airport to meet the growing needs and improve service. The company Jandakot Flight Centre incorporating flight training, aircraft maintenance and charter services was formed in 2000. Kookaburra Air still services all tour requirements.
Operations are Perth based with flights from Jandakot and Perth Airports. All pilots are mature, people orientated with a pleasant, friendly and helpful attitude, flexible enough to meet the individual needs of the passengers while commanding a safe and professional flight.

Operations are covered under the Federal Carriers Liability Act for Public Liability and Group Personal Accident. Certificate No. CLI-437242/6. Ground Operations are covered by the local tour operator, as required by their licensing.
