| Welcome
to another section within this ever expanding web site. Found within these
pages I hope (!) to post my own projected visions of forthcoming albums
by ELO related artists. The near future may see me have a go at Jeff's
and Part II's much anticipated releases. I already have roughs together for Eric Troyer's first solo album. What solo album I hear you all cry? He recorded this album in 1980, but it never saw the light of day. The only song to find its way off the album and out of the studio was the single 'Mirage' (which made 99 in the charts over here in Australia in 1980 by the way!). As the album was never released I suppose it remains untitled with only Eric knowing its identity, but the best bet would have to be 'Mirage'. I'm a fully qualified Graphic Designer / Illustrator, trained to use both traditional and computer and skills... Anyone out there at the business end of the ELO world want to employ a cover artist?! |

Phil
Bates: 'Millennium Blues' (1999) Several months ago I put together this mock album cover for the then impending release of Phil Bates second solo album, mainly for fun, but also for a project I was doing for a Prepress course. As we know, Phil's album was released under the name 'The Agony and the Ecstasy', but for quite some time I remember it was going to be called 'Millennium Blues'. Anyway, with that in mind, I set about the design process following the brief given to me by the Prepress course: To design a full colour A-4 sized ad for a glossy magazine. |

As
Phil's album wasn't due out for quite some time I had to design what I
thought was a suitable album cover. From there I applied it to an ad that
would appear in a glossy music magazine. I also had a crack at redesigning
the ' Don't Panic logo.![]() Before you all write in... It's a pity I spelled Millennium with one 'n' though... No one else has noticed yet! Warning! Warning! Blatant plug alert... Maybe you require my services? Then drop me an Email. |
