Hello Mr.Radio...

Well, it's been a long time between drinks since we heard the voice of Jeff Lynne. If you lived in Australia and twiddled the dials to match one of those stations listed below in October, 1998, you would have been treated to the most up to date interview with the bearded, shaded one. The interview was conducted by DJ, Mark Copolov, a self professed Jeff Lynne fan of 88.3 Southern FM.

Mark has interviewed some pretty fascinating music people over the years (Richard Lush, May Pang, Chet Atkins, Lou Christie, Glenn Frey, John Phillips, Phil Everly, Francis Rossi, Robby Krieger, Carly Simon, Mike Stoller etc. etc. etc...) including a fascinating interview with Sir George Martin. He says that he has a lot more up his sleeves which may well include a return chat with Jeff in 1999 on the release of the l-o-n-g awaited follow up to his Armchair suite (geddit?!) and possible Wilbury return.

I hope to post a transcription of the interview on this web site soon.

I will post any further news that comes to hand on the forthcoming Jeff Lynne interview here and also on the ELO news group and mailing lists... Take a bow Mr. Copolov!

Southern FM's Mark Copolov, the ultimate fan, the man who knows so much about his subjects they just can't say "no" to an interview, strikes again. The enthusiasm of Mark remains undiminished sucking them and us in as he pours over their life, intercut with tracks of their music.
