About 150 revellers kicked up their heels and danced the New Year
in to the music of the magnificent live duo band 'Bruce and Robin' at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre on the last night of 2003.
Some were lucky enough to take away great door and
raffle prizes including the largest Teddy Bear you've ever seen!
The proceeds from the raffle were shared with the
Yanchep-Two Rocks Home Support Group Inc.
As usual, the Association Committee would like to thank
the many volunteers who went out of their way to set up the hall, prepare
the scrumptious supper and stayed behind to clean up afterwards. Its
people like you that make the organisers' (Julie and Andrew Otremba)
jobs so much easier and enable these great Community events to be
so successful.

More than 100 locals and visitors thoroughly
enjoyed the Line dancing and general dancing at the community
fundraiser Hoedown presented by the
Renegade Bootscooters and Yanchep-Two Rocks Recreation Association Inc.
at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre
on a cool Saturday night in August.
Wayne and Val (the 'SWAGGIES') did a great job
as MCs and music-makers and were well supported by the local
"Lots of Little Rhythms" with one hour of general Dance Music.
The Raffle, Door and Spot PRIZES were certainly
appreciated by the lucky winners.
All Proceeds from the night went to local
Junior Cricket,
Junior Soccer,
Junior Football,
Surf Club,
Rock Eisteddfod and
Christmas Project.
The Association, Bootscooters and
the beneficiaries of the night would like to thank all the
sponsors and all those who helped with the setting

About 100 locals and visitors came along
and joined in the fun at the Family Bush Dance at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre in Two Rocks on a cold Saturday
night in June. Many had helped create the atmosphere for the evening
by going to the trouble of dressing in appropriate Bush Dance gear.
The crowd was warmed up by the local
Lots of Little Rhythms and then danced
the night away with great music and singing by the
Pioneers Bush Band.
A group of visitors from Kingsley gave some Square Dancing
demonstrations and our local
Renegade Bootscooters joined in the dancing in their own inimitable
fashion. Everybody enjoyed the dancing, especially learning and doing
the bush dances such as Strip the Willow.
Some were lucky enough to take home raffle and door prizes.
Our thanks again to those who helped with the set up including the
great supper and those who stayed back and helped clean up afterwards.
-
Two Rocks Rocks
About 100 locals and visitors
rocked and rolled the night away
at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre, Two Rocks on a balmy Saturday
night in April.
Stirred out of their seats by
Bruce and Robin's
ABSOLUTELY GREAT, FOOT TAPPING LIVE MUSIC AND
MAGNIFICENT SINGING of 50's, 60's and 70's Rock N Roll and other music,
the crowd, both young and old, danced and danced and danced till they dropped.
It was the most exercise some had done in years.
A large contingent of
Renegade Bootscooters managed to scoot their boots to
almost all of the Rock N Roll music in great style. In the breaks,
they also put on a special demonstration and taught the rest of
the crowd a new line dance.
The lucky winners of the raffle
and door prizes took home great gifts with Easter coming up. Some
spot prizes
were also given away during the night and the crowd was awestruck
by the quality of the contestants in the
Jive Competition, especially the three finalist couples and
the winners.
Many people really got into the spirit of the
night by coming dressed in their favourite 50's, 60's or 70's dance gear.
It was an absolutely FABULOUS
night. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed
themselves and Rocked around the Clock.
The Association would like to thank everybody who helped in the
set-up, on the night and the clean up afterwards and especially
Julie and Andrew Otremba for organising another GREAT COMMUNITY EVENT.
