Past Events - 2005
The following events, listed in reverse chronological
order (i.e. latest first), were organised or supported by the
Association in 2005:
-
Those who attended the New Year's Eve Dance
at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre in Two Rocks,
rocked in 2006 with great revelry and enjoyment.
Popular duo Bruce and Robyn
rocked the old year out and rolled the New Year in
with only two short breaks. The two new sets of
mood lights were very effective. The entry charge
included a light supper. A raffle and door
prize added to the excitement of the night.
Some revelers enjoyed themselves so much that they didn't
want to go home.
The Association would like to thank those
who helped to set-up the hall and prepare the supper and
those who stayed on and helped with the clean up afterwards.
Altogether, another great event
organised and enjoyed by the local community.
-
A good crowd came along and joined in the
festive spirit by singing along to the Carols at the
annual, local Carols By Candlelight at the
Phil Renkin Recreation Centre on a cool Saturday evening
in December.
Following the Christmas Prayer, the carols
were led by the Wandoo Singers and the Yanchep District
High School choir.
Santa made an appearance during the evening
with treats for the children.
Coffee, tea, cordial and biscuits were
provided at the conclusion of the evening.
Thanks to Julie Otremba for organising the evening
and her small band of helpers for setting up, preparing the
refreshments and cleaning up afterwards. Thanks also to all
those who participated in this
great community event.
