Brian Farmer – Tiwi Region
Artist Biography:
Brian lived in central Australia doing teacher’s course then became a Teacher’s Aide at the Milikapiti school in the 1980s. Brian painted for ceremony but not commercially until 2004 when he joined Jilamara Arts & Craft Association. Brian has participated in several exhibitions, including "All the Tiwi Mob" at the Short St Gallery in Broome in 2006. In 2005 Brian opened the "Jilamara" exhibition at the Walkabout/Birrung Gallery in Sydney and did work experience at the gallery.
