PART TWO |

The Doctor's slowly started to fidget on the hard floor of the museum. As he began to regain consiousness, the Doctor could sense someone still standing over him. The man, the man who Tom described before he was shot in the back. Or was he? The Doctor lifted up one of his arms and felt along his back. No bullet hole or phaser blast. The Man seemed to move off, backing away towards the wall. The Doctor got up and came face to face with the man, properly for the first time. He was fairly young, jet black hair and wearing a dark vest. "You didn't answer my question" the Doctor reminded the man. "You didn't answer any of mine either" the man reponded. The Doctor decided against arguing the point and replied simply. "My name is the Doctor". The Man's face fell. "Yes. That's right" he continued, sarcastically "I'm that innocent old Time Lord that just keeps getting his life ruined. I know, I don't understand why it happens either." "There's another one" the man muttered. |

"Yes, lucky number eight" the Doctor commented. The man's face exploded with delight. |
|
"But you don't know how long I've wanted to meet you. I've done this all for you!" the man continued. The Doctor laughed before making a serious face. "Do you realise what you've done, you stupid idiot! You've punched a hole in my TARDIS! You've punched a hole in one of my adventures. You've even access for anyone to simply walk in". The man looked taken back. "But it's only for my personal use. I just wanted to collect some live props from your adventures". The Doctor sighed. "What's your name?". "Jaffa" the man said. "Right, Jaffa. You've made a door. Did it ever occur to you that not only can you walk into one of my adventures, but something else can walk out". Jaffa's face fell once more. He didn't think of that. |

Meanwhile, Tom and Sabrina had entered the 3-D Experience door as per the Doctor's instructions and found themselves inside a endless void of blackness. It was only after a short time of aimless wondering when the pair began to hear faint voices.
"Can you hear that?" Sabrina asked Tom. "Well, its good to know I wasn't just imagining it. It sounds really close" he replied, scanning the area until sudden noticing a multicoloured shape in the distance."Why are they so loud if they're so far away?". "I think it's because they're aruging" observed Sabrina. |

"Doctor, I told you we should have gone the other way" an sweet American voice pleeded.
"My dear Peri, I have a perfect sense of direction" responded the man in the multicoloured coat "Do show some faith in me". "I would have a lot more faith in you if we don't always get lost" the girl retored. The man stopped dead in his tracks, turing to face his companion. "Always get lost? Always get lost! ALWAYS GET LOST!" he shouted. The girl raised her hands towards him. "Alright, alright. I take it back". "Excuse me" Tom called out to the pair "I don't suppose you both know the way out of here?". The man looked back at his companion. "Ignore them Peri. It's just the Horde of the Darkening playing tricks with our minds. They're just phsyic projections". "I can assure you, we're quite real" Sabrina replied. The girl turned to the man. "Are you sure they're just projections Doctor?". The man shrugged, then stepped forwards and pinched Sabrina on the arm. "Hey!" Tom shouted. The man took a step back and leaned into the girl's ear. "They seem real enough". He smiled back at Tom and Sabrina. "Hello there, I'm the Doctor and this is Peri". Tom and Sabrina both stared at each other. "You're the Doctor" she asked the man. The man nodded. "You looked suprised to see me!". "We travel with the Doctor too. A future Doctor" Sabrina explained. The other Doctor stepped back, retreating. "Oh, no no no. I can't go through with something like this again". "Please listen" Tom pleeded "Someone's made a collection all about you in the future and they've got time windows attached to this event and even the TARDIS. You have to help us". The other Doctor's face fell. Peri and both Sabrina and Tom looked confused. "I think we might need to help ourselves first!". The other Doctor indicated behind them with his head. The three companions turned. Behind them, a swirling mass of grey energy began to swarm into snake like apendiages. "When I say run, run!". The other Doctor threw up his hands in front of the creature shouting "RUN!" as Sabrina led Peri and Tom away futher into the void. |

After a few more minutes of endless running; Tom and Sabrina soon discovered a familiar sight. One of the time window doors. "What's that doing here?" asked Peri "The Doctor told me there was no man made structures in the Outcast Nebula".
"It's the time window" Sabrina reminded her "It's connected to the museum". "What was that thing Peri?" Tom asked the girl. Peri frowned. "Well, I'm not exactly sure but the Doctor said that it was some sort of embodiment of phsyic energy. Dangerous" she told him. As the trio walked through the threshold, Sabrina commented that they could be now be in even more danger. |
|
"Little worm!" Peri exclaimed, suddenly. "Excuse me" Sabrina replied. Peri smiled. "Oh not you. This thing". She pointed to a slug like creature which sat ontop of a tank. "It's just a replica" Tom told her. "Pretty freak one if you asked me" Peri remarked. "We've got to find the Doctor, come on!" Tom cried. "You never said your Doctor was so...handsome. Wanna trade?" Peri remarked. "Hello Peri" the Doctor said, blissfully "It's been a long time". Peri thought for a moment. "So what happened to me then? Was I with you for another regeneration? Did I get married off to some fabulous alien king?". The Doctor bit his lip. "I didn't die off did I?" Peri asked, concerned. "No" the Doctor replied before quickly changing the subject "This is Jaffa by the way, my fan". "Hello everyone. I'm so sorry for putting you all in danger" the man pleeded. He slumped to the floor. The Doctor turned to Peri. "Where am I by the way? I mean, your Doctor?". "He's back inside the Outcast Nebula. The Horde of the 'what's it' are still after him" Peri repied. The Doctor prepared to make his way back into the time window but then stopped when he suddenly noticed that Jaffa was sobbing in the corner. "Jaffa, I understand that you admire me very much and you feel the need to display my life in a museum but...I don't want people to think that my life is all about collections and victories and counting how many I've got. It's about making a different. Doing something with your life". He didn't look up. The Doctor knelt down next to Jaffa. "When I was a child, people inspired me to go off and put the universe to rights. I didn't get stuck in one place with nothing but a collection of things". "You're a lot different than I thought you'd be Doctor" Jaffa told him. "I'm sorry if I let you down" the Doctor replied, bluntly. "No, you didn't Doctor. And you're right. I should do something, do something right with my life" Jaffa smiled at him. "Good" the Doctor smiled back "Now, I've got to find my otherself. He's probably lost in the Outcast Nebula, poor thing. You stay here". The other Doctor found himself strung up by his feet, at the mercy of the Horde of the Darkening. "Now there's no need for that!" he protested "I was quite happy discussing with you face to face!". The wisps in from of his face flickered and hisssed at him. "Calm down" he replied "We'll get nowhere if you start being rude". The other Doctor turned his neck to find a man standing some distance behind him. He wasn't one hundred percent sure but he could sense some farmiliar vibes coming from the man's voice. His own. "Contact!" the man shouted! Realizing his future self's plan, the other Doctor snapped his eyes shut and screamed at the top of his lungs "Contact!". Both Doctor's engaged in telepathic communications, shouting random facts to one another and expelling useless information. The phsyic overload was too much for the Horde of the Darkening and the entiity began to disipate, dropping the other Doctor to the ground - hard. The Doctor walked up to him. "Glad you could drop by". |

| "This is ridiculous" the other Doctor exclaimed as he emerged from the time window doors, seeing all the replica aliens and props and signs advertising all the various "The Doctor Experience" merchandise avaible at the gift shop. "If you think this is bad, wait until you see the replica he's got of you" the Doctor mocked. The other Doctor rolled his eyes "Ha, ha. Very Funny". |

Unbeknownst to the two Doctors however, the glowing silver wisps of the Horde of the Darkening emerged from around the corner and slowly began to separted into the different replicas from the museum. Soon, the replica Cyberman and Morbius were walking off their podeums. The two Doctors started at each other and one word seemed to fill their minds - 'run!". As the Cyberman and Morbius commenced their pursuit, more replicas came to life - a Dalek, a Zygon, the K-1 Robot - all with one purpose: to take over the museum. The Two Doctors escaped down the main corridor, dodging various replicas that were now coming alive thanks to the Horde of the Darkening. The pair finally made their way into the main hall where all the replicas of the Doctors stood, as of yet, uninhabited. The other Doctor noticed Jaffa. "You! Do you realise what you've just done?!". Jaffa almost started to cry. "I do". The Doctor leapt to his defence, pushing his other selve away. "Yes, I've already given him the lecture. Don't worry". "Doctor, are you alright?" asked Peri, approaching her Doctor. "Ah, Peri. There you are" the Doctor called out, huging her close "We've got to get out of here and fast". "We can't" Sabrina reminded him "There's no TARDIS here. The time window there has been sealed off. We can't risk allowing that creature access to it". "I have an idea" Jaffa exclaimed. "Well, make it fast!" the other Doctor replied. "The time windows can pucture holes anywhere in Time and Space right" Jaffa continued "So what if I connect up one of the windows to inside the station?". "What good will that do?" commented Peri. "No, don't you see Peri" the Doctor explained "We can lure the Horde of the Darkening inside the power matrix and detonate it". "Not only will it seal up the time windows and put the poor dying star out of its misery but also seal the Horde of the Darkening inside the void" the other Doctor added "Brilliant idea Jaffa".
A large group of inhabited replicas were gathering in the main all. All seven of the Doctors and a handful of monsters, even the TARDIS was possessed by the Horde of the Darkening. Suddenly, the doors to the time window opened in the main hall and the Horde of the Darkening was stunnded to find the two Doctors standing, waiting for them. "Well come on" the Doctor shouted. "We've sealed off the power matrix with all the podeums we could move" Peri informed the Doctors as they returned to the hallway which contained the '3-D Adventure' time window. "Should hold for a little while" Tom commented. Sabrina stepped forward. "Jaffa and I have initiated the overload. Each of the time window generators should cascade". |

"I've rerouted the last reserves of power to the time window, it should hold long enough for you and Peri to make it back to your own time" the Doctor explained to his former self. The other Doctor nodded and made his way, with Peri, to the entrance of the time window. "So long!" the other Doctor said, smiling. The group said their farewells and before long, the other Doctor and Peri departed. "Oh, I was so much younger then" the Doctor remarked. Suddenly, he remembered. "The detonation!". The Doctor's hands darted onto the controls, shifting the time windows settings back to his TARDIS. "Right, locked on target! Everybody inside. You too Jaffa! Prepare for the ride of your life! ". |
