Rick Vermey is an artist whose practice embraces painting, drawing, sculpture/ installations, design, and public art commissions. His friends now regard him as a bit of a digital convert. He spends too much of his time exploring digital print media and developing multimedia projects. In 2000-2001 he was Artist in Residence in Basel Switzerland, at the iaab International Austausch Ateliers Region Basel, on the AFWA Studio Exchange Programme. From time to time Rick works collaboratively with /~nervous_objects, (an online collective of artists from six Australian states), creating hybrid virtual (web) / realspace (physical) installations.   < // Quote: "Over the last 6-8 years I have gravitated to working with the internet.
