SAILING AS A TEAM

• 'Mistra' is a 60 foot sailing schooner and is ideally suited to learn blue water sailing.

• Sail training develops team work while you are experiencing the spirit of adventure.

MOTIVATION

• We will develop your sailing and decision making skills whilst sailing on an ocean going vessel on beautiful Sydney Harbour.

SAILING A VESSEL IS A VERY OLD EXPERIENCE.

The challenge of man against the sea aboard a classic sailing vessel is very much the same today as in the times of the Spanish, Egyptian and Roman sailors who have experienced the same challenge and adventure aboard a sailing ship a thousand or more years ago.

This connection with the sea, along with simple technology, is sailing’s appeal and challenge.

A sailing ship represents relative technology that has not changed in technique and principle. A well designed hull, strong ropes and sail cloth cut to fill the wind powering the vessel through water, is an adventure for everyone to experience. A sailor must read the wind and the waves while the ship’s course progresses, constantly making decisions and adjustments to keep the boat moving efficiently and safely along. More than most human endeavours, sailing makes demands on the crew’s teamwork, knowledge and experience. This is certainly one attraction for all to experience and test their ability to work as a team.

HOW MUCH IT WILL COST

The cost of booking the vessel for sail training and motivational training programs is dependent upon the duration of the sailing cruise and is quoted to corporations direct.

All persons are able to attain the experience of initial sail training and handling of the vessel under the direction of the crew and skipper.

Bookings are available for corporate exercises, companies or government departments conducting team building, motivational and sail training programs.

These programs are usually of a six hour duration.

Corporate and government departments may also purchase a share in the vessel for their own use. more details upon application.
