Introduction

Paul Graus

I was born in Perth, Western Australia and completed my undergraduate studies at Curtin University (formerly called the Western Australian Institute of Technology or W.A.I.T.) majoring in Accounting with a Law minor.

After graduation, I worked in the accounting profession and continued my studies completing the Professional Year through the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1982 and a Graduate Diploma in Business Computing (with distinction). I was also admitted as an Associate Member of the Australian Society of CPA's in 1980.

The following pages will detail a little about myself as well as briefly outlining some of my education and career achievements.

I lived in Indonesia through most of the 1990's and have travelled extensively throughout the world undertaking various assignments on behalf of my employers. Events in Asia in the late 1990's plus the educational requirements of my children persuaded us to return home to Perth.

I returned to Indonesia in 2010 and worked for several companies in the resources sector again. I look forward to settling into my next challenge, anywhere in the world. I am happy to consider contract or permanent roles.

My work history demonstrates my ability to learn, adapt and work with many challenges. I have lived in remote locations for many years and worked with people from many cultures, religions, professions and values.

The last 10 years have been especially eye opening and taught me a lot about the reality that everyones perception of the world is different. We all have our own version of the truth!
