1. Directed the implementation of new corporate wide management information systems encompassing financial, supply, maintenance and office automation systems.

2. Managed a project to assess the company's environmental practices and potential liabilities.

3. Prepared the company environmental policy.

4. Redesigned the company's organisation structure and assessed the suitability of senior staff to meet the requirements of the new positions created and future goals of the company.

5. Redesigned the company's Chart of Accounts.

6. Developed and drafted the company's new accounting policies.

8. Instigated and managed a 1 year project to upgrade the company's geological data and exploration practices.

9. Reviewed the viability of the company's main open pit operation (an operation which was developed on flawed economic and financial forecasts).

10. Managed a project to recommend optimal staff numbers for the company and related benefits to be paid to staff.

11. Managed the appointment of parties required for privatisation including legal auditors, financial auditors etc. and subsequently liaised with those parties during their assignments.

12. Selected, appointed and liaised with the company's internal auditors (an international accounting firm).

13. Selected and liaised with the company's public relations advisors.

14. Selected and liaised with the company's financial advisors (Investment bankers).

15. Chaired of a multidisciplinary corporate management committee appointed to oversee changes in operations and work practices.

16. I wrote the company's 1996 and 1997 financial reports and managed the development of PTBA's company profile.

17. I managed the development of the company's financial planning practices and personally developed a financial model which extracted data from the management reporting systems and projected cash flows, profit and loss statements and balance sheets for the next decade.

18. I developed a PC based management reporting system which used raw data downloaded from the company's new Unix based management information systems and reported monthly in long form, short form and graphically all aspects of the company's operational and financial performance.
