Barbara completed a three year Arts Studies Course at Fremantle TAFE majoring in Ceramics and Studio Ceramics.
She has taught in schools throughout the Goldfields.
The main emphasis of her Pottery is on the result that's achieved by firing in a gas kiln with a reduction atmosphere, this can achieve interesting and unpredictable results.
Hand building with organic and inorganic materials add another dimension to her work along with RAKU firing which has also produced some interesting work.
Barbara exhibits in the Atwell Gallery and in 2004 won an award for the best work in pottery for a ‘Glaze on Glaze’ stoneware dish.
Barbara has been an active member of the South of the River Potters Club for a number of years.
