Mary’s interest in painting and drawing began at an early age and she has always enjoyed using colour, working initially as a photographic colourist.
After her marriage and rearing five children, she began to pursue her passion for creating, mainly flowers, firstly in
watercolours and later in china painting, oils and pottery.
Gradually she branched out to landscapes as well as her
beloved flowers and still lifes, always willing to try new
techniques to help her achieve her goals.
Recently experimenting using Acrylics with Oils Mary is closer to achieving her dream to create paintings that satisfy herself as well as communicating her intentions to others.
Mary has won Awards of Excellence in 2002/3 and was part of the ACAS submission that won the Daler Rowney World Wide
Competition for Art groups in 2002.
