Heathcote Studio 5

 

has made available 6 artist's studios in the Kitchen Building
at the stunning
Heathcote Heritage Precinct,
58-60 Duncraig Road, Applecross, Western Australia.

  Melville Community Arts Association
has leased
Studio 5
and 7 of their exhibiting artists, with very diverse styles, have work at the facility and take turns at working in the studio;

The current MCAA artists are:-

Caroline Marinovich Realistic watercolours & pastels - lovely gentle style
Chris Marshall Semi-abstract acrylics & mixed media paintings and digital art
Ellie Wilkie Wide variety of media & subject matter - a bit of a quirky style
Colleen Rintoul Figurative and landscape works - range of media & styles
Brigitta Nowland

Beautifully crafted oils and watercolours + a sprinkling of mixed media

Enigmatic watercolour landscapes

Mainly realistic watercolours and pastels - a real feeling for the landscape

Other studios are currently leased to  Angie Thomas (Jewellery making), David Giles (Abstract paintings), Victor Yong (Photography), Charlotte O'Shea (CAOS Digital Art)
The whole facility is open to the public from 10am to 4pm every Sunday and at other times by appointment or whenever any artist is in attendance.
Studio 5 is generally open on Saturdays as well as public holidays

In October 2007 we were all stunned when one of our artists, Faye Hutchinson went into hospital and died a couple of weeks later. Her ghost is still to be found around Studio 5. RIP Faye
