KNOWN HISTORY

Delivered by Rootes as Humber on 2 December 1937 O/N 16209. Supplied by Clement Talbot Ltd London to customer V.P. MOBBS on 8 March 1938.

To date I have not been able to identify V.P. MOBBS and any information or leads will be greatly appreciated.

The car was purchased by MR ERIC PYBUS-PATTISON about 1957-1958. Understood that he purchased it from a junk dealer in EDENBRIDGE, KENT. Informant believed the vendor's name was MIKE STAUNTON (or similar).

The car was restored by ERIC PYBUS-PATTISON and used as a hire car from 14 Cheltenham Terrace, Chelsea, London. Photos of the car taken at the time show REGISTRATION NO. EXB 705.

ERIC PYBUS-PATTISON emigrated to Perth, Western Australia in 1963 taking the car with him.

Some years later he sold the car to YORK MOTOR MUSEUM in Western Australia who sold it again to a MR ROBIN BULLOCK who in turn sold it to MR MURRAY BASTIAN of Bedfordale about 1987.

I purchased the car from MR MURRAY BASTIAN IN 1998.

Nothing is known about the car for the period March 1938 until 1957 when acquired by PYBUS-PATTISON.
