Can you believe it? I'm actually making an update! Added my web avatar. Rearranged the DnD story, so that what was the end of chapter 9, is now the beginning of chapter 10. No actual change to the story however. Guess what! I'm passed the half way mark in my course. Assuming the impossible (no deviation one way or the other), I will finish on November 26th. I bought a book a on MS Frontpage (the program I use to make this website) a few weeks ago. That should mean that this site will improve in the future. However, for the moment I am flat-out studying for my Network+ exam. Spherion allows a 3 week period to do that, which is about a week and a half too short in my opinion. Especially given that the pass mark (like all certification exams) is around 80%. My brother has been in Belgium for a couple of weeks -working. He should return this coming weekend. |

Drew is back from NZ once again. Hopefully that's the last trip he'll have to make there for work. I have 'my' digital camera back. Things are gearing up this week for my 21st birthday party, this Saturday night. |

than two weeks in Perth before flying back to NZ. He spent almost all
weekend catching up on mail and financial related crap.

On Sunday we finally had a long awaited game of DnD.
Unfortunately that meant playing with only two players plus me, the
DM. Still it was an interesting game and not as difficult as I thought it
might be without two of our four players.
I have written up the diary entry. Updates start at the end of chapter 8 (look for the heading: Beginning of Game Session 8). Other News: My cousin Callum will be staying with us for a night or two, and Drew's new boss at work want him back in WA, so he may be back sooner than we were expecting. (Last we knew he may have been stuck in NZ until mid November).

| Update 03/10/03 | One long weekend and a lot of spray painting later, I have
base coated nearly all of my tau. The kroot are not done, and neither are
the weapons for the crisis suits. I may have sprayed the wrong colour onto
the fire warrior and crisis heads... I should have probably started with
orange not yellow. I have decided to paint one of each model (crisis,
warrior, drone) before doing units in bulk.
My tanks and paint arrived on the 1st. I have already cut/cleaned and mostly assembled all three. I have a bit of problem solving to do - where to place magnets for the best effect. The only example I have on the devilfish/hammerhead swap uses the back end of one of the burst cannons permanently inside the nose piece. Not acceptable. I want to put those burst cannons on the 'drone' turrets most of the time. Some thought may be required for the main turret guns as well. The guns are too front heavy just to sit on top by themselves, they need some sort of support. The central torso of the broadside is bent quite badly. I will try bending it with hot water later. I also have to find out how best to remove the extra 'tags' underneath the base so that I can attach a nice heavy washer for extra balance. |

Have finally finished the helmet trimming on one more guardian. Also have been
painting gems on the 5 remaining eldar models.
Recently started frequenting a Tau message board forum in addition to the yahoo group. I am compiling a document of the most interesting information. I may make it part of this site at a later date. |

Finally edited the less acceptable parts of 'My Theory of Life' and rewrote parts that were only in note form. Posted it's entirety in one page. I plan to edit into a more readable and navigable form in the future.

I placed an order last night for 3 Tau tanks, one broadside battlesuit, and 1 pot of Vallejo Stone Grey paint. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until next week for the Tau tanks to be in stock. Twiddle thumbs time, since I can't continue work on the bases until the paint arrives. Unless I work on my Eldar of course. As if that would actually happen.I made the mistake of looking at that particular store's price for Tau Battleforce box sets. With their standard 15% discount on GW miniatures, I would have saved $45! Ouch. (not including P&P of course).
Minor alterations made to my Resume and several other pages.
Fairly major lay out change to the front page. Thanks goes to StormEagle for explaining how. I've still got plenty to learn about MS Frontpage, but at least I am learning. With time all pages will be improved in a similar manner.
Added the MCP page, and a nice long 'rant'.
Update 04/09/03
My brother left for NZ last night, taking his Digital Camera with him. Bugger for me :) I have to wait 5 weeks to create more pictures. I'll use my normal camera to keep a record of any major stages I pass while he's away. It's a pity the pics won't be as good, but they will still give the viewer an idea of the stage by stage process.
Resized pictures of miniatures for acceptable downloading time. Also added in some pictures I took last week but hadn't uploaded.

This website is partly an experiment, but mainly an effort to learn MS Frontpage.
I also intend to use it as my home page for all the photos that I want to send people. Much easier to point someone to a page than to be sending multiple people the same photos all the time.
Given the nature of that statement; you can probably tell that this is one of those "under construction" websites. Also, it may be necessary to use the refresh button on your browser if you are not visiting this site for the first time.
Furthermore; many of the photos on this site are larger than you might normally expect. SORRY :)
