Episode Nineteen
Carlos is leaning on the wall with a look of devastation and determination on his face. He squints his eyes and shards of glass stick in to his cheek.
"I should really get my eye looked at," he decides reasonably. "But not now. My Rebecca needs me at her bedside. I can feel her pain, her aches, her worries. They are permeating my body and are causing me to grimace."
Carlos grimaces.
In the reflection of his glass eye shards, Carlos's good eye spots the photo that he believes is the answer to who has released his secret documents. He has been wanting for so long now just to turn the frame towards him so that he can see who the photo is of. But Rebecca's transient pain is infiltrating his system and so he makes his move.
Carlos grabs the photo frame and throws it into his designer briefcase.
"I'll look at you later," he tells the inanimate object. "Rebecca, my darling, I'm on my way."
Carlos runs out the door, his briefcase flapping in the wind caused by those hair raising fans.
Meanwhile, at the scene of an indescribable crime...
Jordan is transfixed by the hypnotic flaring of nostrils by the policeman. Jake Cop is gob smacked.
"Now listen here, you vile alien! What do you think you are doing?" demands Jake Cop, his voice booming around the busy restaurant. It is lunchtime and all of the patrons are watching the proceedings eagerly. They weren't expecting a floor show.
"I'm helping Hele... I mean Alexandra pick up these broken plates. My name's Jordan, Jordan Outsider," says Jordan, extending a hand politely. He has been able to pick up that this policeman doesn't like him, thanks to the many insults Jake has fired at him.
Jake slaps the manly hand away, aware that his stubby little fingers don't match the elegant joints of the intruder.
"Don't be so cheeky," warns Jake, standing on tip toes to gain a bit of height. "It looks to me like you exploded into a fit of pure rage and purposely broke the plates of the lovely Alexandra! And you were not cleaning up, you were pushing the broken pieces into the carpet for innocent people to step on unawares!"
"Umm... No, sir!" laughs Jordan, amazed at the insanity of this crazy policeman.
"Right! That's it! You're coming with me to the station," declares Jake triumphantly, pulling a pair of well-used handcuffs out of his pocket.
Alexandra slaps her forehead in disbelief.
Meanwhile, at the Casino...
Carlos jumps out of the car and looks around for a nurse. There happens to be a woman standing nearby holding a clipboard and Carlos rushes over to her.
"Hello and welcome to Carlos's Casino where all of your dreams come true. Can I direct you to any game in particular? Roulette? Poker? Carlos-Craps?" recites the make-up drenched host.
"Where is my ex-wife? I am under the impression that she is about to die," demands Carlos to the dumbstruck woman.
"Then she would most likely be at the hospital, sir," she suggests helpfully.
"By george you're right! Maybe I have time for just one game first..." says Carlos, licking his lips at the sight of casino chips with his handsome face on them.
Carlos hesitates for an extended period of time as he tries to work out how long the average game of poker takes.
