Already confirmed are students from a number of UK police forces, government departments and private industry, so those attending are guaranteed an interest-packed experience. To book for the open Wyboston course or to enquire about future Strategic Analysis & Assessment courses, please contact Jim Devery at RISC. Beacon & CIT Solutions join to create Australia’s first vocational Tertiary Intelligence Analysis Qualification We are proud to announce that Beacon is joining with CIT Solutions (the commercial arm of the Canberra Institute of Technology) to develop the first vocational tertiary qualification in Australia dedicated to intelligence analysts. The new qualification will be a Diploma in Intelligence Analysis and will be co-developed by Beacon and CIT. It will have full tertiary and ANTA status and will be aimed at providing working intelligence analysts with the practical skills and knowledge not always available from higher degree courses. It will also articulate into higher degree courses, should students wish to follow that path, and to Certificate level courses for those engaged in intelligence support roles. CIT has already brought a number of key government agencies and academic institutions onboard to participate in the Program Development Group, thereby helping to ensure wide adoption of the standard. At this point, the first course has been pencilled in for the May 2008. To find out more, you should contact Paul or Noni at the CIT Centre for Intelligence, Risk and Investigation Training (CIT Solutions).
