I am a Christian who enjoys helping other people
I used to work for Telstra from Jan 1965 till March 2005 (approx 40 years).
And since late 1978 have built, repaired, and upgraded computers (approx 30
years),
starting with HP 2645 workstations and very early 300 baud serial printers,
running pre-dos software.
progressing through XT, AT, 386, 486, Pentium 1 2 3 4, and Core2 Duo and quad
computers,
with the occasional AMD, Cyrix and Sun computer as well.
I live in outer east Melbourne and am willing to help people
solve their own problems with computers, but should the task become too
difficult,
I will also take the computer away to be repaired or upgraded.
I prefer to solve hardware problems and leave the software problems to other
people to solve.
I will gladly build computers for people to their specifications,
but there are many companies who do this quite cheaply.
A visit to the pages linked at left, will show you companies around eastern
Melbourne,
who sell computers and parts as well as web information sites,
who provide information to make solving computer problems easier.
Since March 2005 I am no longer working for Telstra full time,
The company has given me the very much hoped for "Golden
Handshake".
However occasionally they call me and ask me to come back for a few weeks or
months,
to assist in some project or to fill in for a worker on a long holiday, offering me approx $500 a day.
So I am finally free to help as many people as I can.
Please feel free to contact me with any computer problems and I will try to
help solve them.
Please see the Blog for current news.
