COMPANY PROFILE

Paramount (WA) Ltd is a Perth based engineering and construction company set up in October 2002 for the specific purpose of constructing the world’s largest single train liquid ammonia plant for Burrup Fertilisers Pty Ltd.

Paramount was subcontracted by Canadian based engineering firm SNC Lavalin to perform all aspects of the onshore scope of work. The onshore work primarily focuses on the engineering, procurement and construction activities associated with constructing the plant.

STAFF

Paramount is managed by Vino Ambalavaner and Raj Jeyarajah, whose engineering and construction industry experience spans over 15 years.

Its staff consists of over 70 professionals with 90% being specialised in engineering and construction. Currently the manpower at the Burrup Fertilisers site and in Perth consists of over 1,200 people.

FUTURE PROSPECTS

Once mechanical completion and commissioning of the plant is completed, Paramount will be responsible for overseeing all service contracts and maintenance for the plant.

This will be for the duration of approximately 20 years, which is the period that the plant is expected to operate.

Due to the success of the ammonia plant project, there are numerous opportunities for Paramount to expand and take its newly acquired skills in management construction and procurement out to the marketplace.

The skills and experience gained from building a multi-million dollar ammonia plant would be an asset for all future projects.
