Biblioworld was founded in August 2002 by Allan and Lee Walker. Biblioworld was conceived by Lee and Allan as an on-line bookshop dealing in rare, select and elusive books, pamphlets and ephemera, specializing in mail order sales to the international marketplace.
Lee and Allan have both had a lifetime passion and interest in books and reading and are both avid readers and collectors. For over twenty years Lee and Allan have had bookshops in Melbourne, first at Oakleigh and Later at Collingwood. Allan is an honours Arts graduate in English Literature and the Classics and is a qualified and experienced Librarian. He is passionate about western literature. They are both also addicts and keen readers of detective fiction.
Biblioworld has a whole host of specialitizations which include Modern First Editions, Detective and Espionage Fiction, Pulps, Mythology, Religion and Philosophy, Ancient History and Literature, Australiana, Militaria, Psychology and Technical, but the main thrust of their collection is always towards rare and elusive items.
