This position is offered as an 3-month secondment/contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension beyond the initial term.

The primary role of this position is to maintain the Secondhand Dealers and Pawnbrokers computer system.  This is essentially achieved through the provision of a help desk service to pawnbrokers and secondhand dealers, undertaking research and analysis associated with data management practices and providing training to the Dealers Squad on the system.

Internally, the position liaises predominantly with members of the Dealers Squad and Commercial Agents, Computing and Information Management (CIMBS) staff and WAPOL IT Committees.  Externally, the position liaises with Secondhand Dealers, Pawnbrokers and Australian State/Territory Police Services and international Police Services, as required.
