The impact of fires and weather.

Taken a couple of months after the fires (and some rain) all the orange looking trees have been severely burnt. Cars all packed and ready to depart if the fires came close. There is a bit of a cheat here. Although the sun to the human eye was a bright red such as one sometimes sees at sunset, the digital camera captured it as a white spot. So the image has been adjusted. Some ten minutes walk from home there is a weir in Ginninderra Creek. Here you see it in normal conditions. Here is the weir after a few days of moderate rain.
