Through day-to-day working gained useful knowledge Windows 3.1,Windows 95/98, OS/2 and related applications. Installed Windows95/98, Windows NT and Winframe multi-user systems.
Networking:Set up more than a dozen networks using Ethernet and TokenRing and managed by TCP/IP and other protocols. Worked with routers and telecommunications equipment. Installed firewalls.
World Wide Web & Internet:For IBM developed process for managing web server and creating content. A continuing review process was required. Managed installation and construction of firewalls.
AIX (IBM's implementation of UNIX):Installed and set up in excess of two dozen IBMRS/6000 systems including the X Window System.
Large systems:Worked as systems programmer for the VM/370 and OS/VS1 operating systems for medium and large IBM and compatible systems.
Standards:Managed group responsible for the implementation of standards and programming techniques for large corporation.
Point-of-sale:Managed installation of and developed software for large installation of point-of-sale systems (more than 200), including project reviews.
Computer Aided Design:Installed and managed mainframe system, including project reviews, supporting CAD terminals gaining CAD operating experience.
Programming:Developed and wrote programs in UNIX shell script, REXX, PL/I, COBOL, FORTRAN, APL and S/360 Assembler.
