Waiting expectantly for the start in Albany

Some of local Albany vehicles that were parked near the start, including this superbly presented Chev truck complete with barrels The Speedster certainly looked dashing in the very pleasant sunshine at the start

Fiat Tourer in lineup - sequence was based on rally entry forms indication of average speed when touring.

The first of the daily drivers briefings Drew Shack was very carefully looked after by his daugthers during the rally in this very nice Hupmobile. In the lineup waiting to start - Brian and Maureen Hume in the Oldsmobile and Sam Brown in the Fargo Ute Cars lined up waiting to start including two Model A's - cars were flagged away at specified time increments with the slower vehicles going first
Cars waiting to start including a very well prepared 1929 Chev Roadster!! Harry & Daphne House are off and running in their Austin 7. They were eventual overall winners of the rally. Dale and Jocelyn Miller were very pleased to make the start after doing major engine repairs after the drive down to Albany Thelma was at the back of the pack all rally, and appropriately so in terms of preferred travelling speeds.
Taken from the middle of the oval and panning around thru 180 degrees to include all the cars lined up around the edge of the oval. Can you find Thelma?
