David has been involved in the feasibility, planning and project implementation for fifteen business incubators. He is regarded as one of Australia’s foremost authorities on business incubators and is the Chair of the Business Incubation Association of WA and a past chairman of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Business Incubators (ANZABI).

His association with business incubators commenced in 1989 when he was appointed as the Midland Enterprise Centre’s first manager, developing the 4500 square metre facility from a derelict school into a thriving incubator and conference centre, complete with child care centre.

In the area of business incubators David is recognised as one of Australia’s experts, regularly speaking at conferences and presenting papers. In June 1997 he accepted an invitation to address a gathering in Paris (France) representing Australian interests at the request of the OECD.
