It's just a crush
by Celeste Smith

I ask him to pass me a paper
So that when he does
I can touch his hand
And feel his warmth radiate to me

I ask him for help with a question
So that when he answers
I look in to his eyes
And fall in to the bottomless sea

I drop my pen for him to notice
So that when he tells me
I listen to his voice
And hear its imperfect melody

I wait for him behind the corner
So that when he turns
I bump in to him
And breathe in the scent of his body
And feel his heartbeat echo in me

A note from the author

I LOVE JASPER and this poem is about when I met him
