Everybody wants power. Everybody thinks power is the best thing to come down the pike since sliced bread. Most of the people in this world (and the other) seek power. The most amazing thing about power is that we all possess the ultimate power. The power to create.

How do we possess the power to create, you say. With our words. Examples abound:

an adult who believes themselves stupid because they had those words spoken to them as a child
a person who believes they can do anything because they had those words spoken to them
someone smiles because of the words they hear
someone cries for the same reason.

Words are powerful things. Jesus created this world with words -- "and God said, "Let there be light." We all need to watch what we say. Words go out into space and never ever cease to exist. We may not hear them any more but they are still there. When you are depressed SAY positive things. On my drive into work every day I say the following. These are all facts about me. They are all positive things also.

I am God's workmanship.
I am the apple of God's Eye
I am the head and not the tail.
I am more than a conqueror
I am a priest
I am a princess
I am a child of the Most High God.

There are more, but you get the idea.

If you ever feel down, try the OUTLOUD confession. I can promise you that it will make you feel better.
