Laughter in the rain
by Stacey M. Bleyle

Do you hear that
the laughter in the rain
do you see it
wash away all my pain
The rain falls gently
from the sky
falls just like
tears from my eyes
All my pain, washed away
happiness is, here to stay
my laughter is loud
and perhaps insane
for sadness was my cane
like a child, oh so small
I run outside, to see it fall
giggles begin to arise
then laughter fills the sky
towards the cloud I lift my face
asking to feel the absolute grace
Happiness comes to my eyes
as I wash my face dry
so can you hear it
the laughter in the rain
won't you let it
wash away your pain
