i started writing poetry in my late teens as i was looking for direction in my life. i'd had a rough start in my earthly journey, so it was a natural instinct to go inside myself to my creative mind to work out my "demons", so to speak. my mother is also a poet/creative soul, and she has inspired me in countless ways to possibly be able to do something with my talent. i truly believe it is a God-given gift, and i want to be sure to give all the glory and praise to Him, my Father.

i try and be as versatile in my writing as possible. i try and write about things that are important, about love and passion, about fear and uncertainty, and just life in general. not all that i write has anything to do with myself, but it is all something i can fairly relate to and my hope is that i have touched someone else's spirit or heart in some small way.
