Alone on New Year's Eve

New Years Eve and all alone
Thinking of you,
Dreaming of the lost isle
Wanting to hold you close,
But you're not here

I'm dreaming of you
Dreaming of your kiss
Dreaming of the day
We'll be together again…

Hold me tight,
In your dreams,
Never let me go…

All alone on New Years Eve,
A glass of bubbly left on the table
Untouched by the lips of the girl
Now a woman…

Keep me close in your thoughts
Hold me tight in your dreams
Kiss me long when we meet,

I miss you,
My love…

A note from the author

I wrote this 3 years ago... It's not one of my better poems, but I liked the fact that the text almost forms the shape of a vase... Or maybe that's just my imagination lol!
