Time flys when your having fun, and a lot has changed in the Gallery. The Ultramarines have been sold off or re-painted as White Scars! Yes, White Scars are the new marine army for me, with the bulk standard Ultramarines going to new homes, being converted to chaos, or being absorbed into the new chapter.
I've divided the gallery up into Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Fantasy and the Archives to hopefully make it a bit easier to see what I have for which universe, and what I had in the days gone by.
White Scars
The new Chapter. After much deliberation I finally decided
that Fast Attack suited my style of play. So, rather than limit myself too much
with an army like Ravenwing, I settled on the White Scars Chapter. This gave me
some flexibility, but sadly I had to wave goodbye to my beloved two
Dreadnoughts. So, in late March 2002 I started the conversion process, and by
June had a 1500 points White Scars army battle ready. I took them too the West
Coast Interclub Challenge 2002 and won Best Sport, and came a close 2nd for Best Painted.
Inquisitor
When the club started an Inquisitor Campaign, I just had to get
involved. This spurred me to compleet my models and desopiet being a little
leery about painting the larger scale stuff, it worked out a lot easier than I
thought, and the models are some of the best I've painted.
Battle Fleet Gothic![]()
Back in March 2002 while I was running the Outpost6030
40K Rogue Trader, I took along my BFG models for something to do while waiting
for the gamers to complete their games. I tried a spraying technique and was
amazed at how fast the models could be done and still look great. A weekend
later I had completed my fleet!
Chaos: Bloodwolves of Khorne
My lure to Chaos. A Khorne Berserker Army.
While these guys are dedicated to the Blood god, the are a little more tactical
than the Worldeaters, and utilise Daemons almost as heavily as Word Bearers,
though obviously only the Daemons of Khorne. With the release of the new Chaos
Codex (the day I write this update) I'm looking forward to creating an even more
unique Chaos Chapter.
Tallarn Desert Raiders
The Tallarn 29th Regiment. So far a small strike force, useful for a raid or two. Ever growing and looking forward to receiving more armoured vehicles.
Dark Eldar
Just a couple of Photos here. I took a small force in a
skirmish level Campaign (500 point games) and was pleased with the way they ran.
An army I'd love to build a decent force for, but slowly collecting.
Mordheim
Well, Mordheim is the thing
that has been taking up most of my gaming time. So, here is the first
installment of pictures of Wolfgang's Witch-hunters.
Bloodbowl![]()
The club (Outpost6030) started up a
Bloodbowl league, and being a long time fan I just had to join. But what to
play? I'd run Dwarves last league but that was under 3rd edition rules. 4th
edition promised to be a little less ceadly than 3rd edition. So, I went all
Hobgoblins., Unfortunately, I had to alter that theme slightly to compensate for
the fact that si successful was the team I ended
up in Division One!
Orcs & Goblins
The Chariot... well, thats all
there is right now. Only 1300 points to go...
Stuff I've painted but for one reason or another no longer own...
Ultramarines
My 1st Army.Now gsold
or re-painted to White Scars
Tyranids
An Army had to go, and Nids
was it. Few pictures here until my webspace gets too full.
Eldar
Recently I painted up some miniatures for some-one else, and I they came up so well, I thought I'd add them to the gallery
