I started the guestbook in response to all the negativity about Sukyo Mahikari on the internet. If you believed only a fraction of what you saw you would think that there were major flaws in the philosophy and teachings. Yet most of the negative sites fail to mention the real purpose of this organisation....the act of giving, freely, the Light of the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
The most important function of someone that has joined this organisation is to purify themselves Spiritually, Mentally and Physically, in that order.....the Correct order! We do that by following certain teachings in a balanced way and by giving Truelight to others in accordance with our available time and family committments. When one practises the teachings in a balanced manner they will slowly erase their impure Karma accumulated through many lifetimes or even through the acts of their predeccessors (Ancestors)
Why there are negative sites calling Sukyo a cult is hard to understand. Most of these people have at one time been members of the Sukyo Mahikari organisation. Many of them have actually been devoted members. Some of them have been blindly devoted and over exerted themselves and later became resentful when their efforts were not perceivably fruitful.
Not unlike any other organisation there are always over zealous people, that can take things a bit too far. There are some Mahikari directors that make mistakes and push people to the limit of their service. I have often been asked to do a bit extra. Sometimes I was able to give one or more extra sessions of Light to someone that needed it. Sometimes I did not want to, and simply said "No!" .But to put Sukyo Mahikari in with all of these strange religious cults is disastrous and entirely uneccessary. No one has ever been forced to give Light. No one has ever been prevented from doing as they so desired. No one has ever received an invoice for donations. In fact the only donations ever completely neccessary are the initial fee to do the 3 day study. I paid approx $175.00 Australian and the monthly maintenance donation of Approx $8 Australian. On the rare occasions when I forgot to make my donation, I never received an invoice.
Finally, Sukyo Mahikari is a great way to get to know the will of God and to practise an Ancient Art. By doing this and helping to make the community we live in a better place, we naturally become better people ourselves, without even requesting it. Have a Great Day.........ILuvLight.............Love & Light,,,,,,,George!!!
