2009 SPRING CAMP - 25th to 28th September (Queens Birthday long weekend)

Spring Camp 2009 will be held on the Queens birthday (W.A.) long weekend on Friday, from 4pm onwards, 25th September to Monday morning 28th September 2009. For information please see attached Flyer.

This will once again be held at the beautiful Bickley Outdoor Recreation Camp, located on Hardinge Road in Orange Grove, within the Darling Scarp just 9km from Perth, surrounded by both Bickley Brook and National Park. (see map below)

Things you need to bring/be aware of:

  • Bedding - it gets cold of an evening so please come prepared. Dorm style accommodation is offered with Bunk beds.
  • Food and drinks - Please bring food for the duration of your stay. On the Saturday night there is a feast that is incuded in the cost and will cater for Vegans and those who are wheat and dairy intolerant. Please make sure your food is in an esky clearly labled with your name, there are fridges and a cool room available for use, but due to limited space, if you have cooldrinks that can be kept in an esky with ice it would be much appreciate. There is also fast food available within a short drive of the camp. If you wish to do this please be aware of where you park.(see below). Sunday there will be a sausage sizzle at the fete with vegan sausages available. All money raised from thise goes towards Combined Covens Social Club.
  • Parking - Please be aware that if you park at the back of the camp site that your car will be blocked in for the duration of the camp. You are more than welcome to park there though
  • Bunny Ears - Ground breaking news! There will be a prize awarded to the best pair of bunny ears worn to the meet and greet at camp on Saturday Morning. Now this prize may be a drinking horn. There will be a child's prize too.
  • Good attitude and sense of humour - This is a family friendly event. Would would appreciate it if your behaviour reflected this.
  • Stall holders - Don't forget you goods to sell. If you have not yet booked a stall please contact Tree via email combinedcovens@gmail.com
  • Money - Don't forget money to spend at the Fete on Sunday, there will be lots of fantastic items available for sale.
  • Fire Regulations - All fires must be contained to the Webber kettles in keeping with the camp sites fire policey.
  • Alcohol - Alcohol is permitted but please be aware this is a family event. Drunks nor drunk out of control behaviour will not be tolerated. We ask you to drink responsibly.

POTTERY WORKSHOP @ Spring Camp
Make your own GOD OR GODDESS
FOR YOUR GARDEN OR HOME

Allow your senses to be awakened.
Connecting with the earth as you hand build with clay.

Feel the energy and life-force of the earth as Michele take’s you through the steps to make your own God or Goddess, working off a basic design. and then helping you bring your god/goddess to fruition with advice on how to personalise.

This is a hand building clay workshop, no previous experience is necessary and all you will need is your hands and to wear some old clothes.

Workshop will start with your ideas and then with a short meditation, before we start creating. After you have finished your statue Michele will then transport your work to a safe place to dry and then will take them to be fired, this will allow your god/goddess to dwell indoor or outdoor, as desired.

Workshop time = 2hrs
Workshop cost = $20.00

Maximum participants 10

Pottery God/Goddess can be collected from designated location 4 weeks later

All Pagans and Pagan friendly people welcome. National and international visitors welcome.

Children are welcome but remain under the care and responsibility of parents / guardians (please note the camp backs onto a large body of water)
