TAMINICK - OCTOBER 1999

Taminick is an annual encampment of re-enactors from the black powder era - 16th to 19th Century were represented this year. The event included a drill competition, an award for the best camp, and a variety of target shooting competitions.  A great weekend hosted by the North Eastern Muzzle Loaders Club (Victoria) and the Routiers (Green Regt).

SBS TV filmed the event extensively. Subsequently, the SBS's INSIGHT program screened a very positive ten minute segment on re-enacting as part of a program on teaching history in Australia's schools and universities.
