OLD SYDNEY TOWN- APRIL 2001

 Return to home
Thumbnails only since August 2002 - e-mail for a detailed version
Old Sydney Town 2001 provided an opportunity for the 95th and the redcoat regiments to hone our public display skills. The program included displays for the visiting public, workshops, trade days, and opportunity for infantry combat training with the redcoat regiments. Regiments present included the 95th, 73rd, 42nd, Royal Marines and the 21eme (French).

Around about
8 rifles, 2 officers and a cadet made a solid infantry squad
We did the usual - standing guard ......
fixing flintlocks .....
checking out the local sights (and smells) ......
some very pleasant lunches ......
and some photo opportunities.
Cpl Adrian and Rfn Max in light order.

Getting organised at morning parade

Waiting (in the shade) - 21eme in the fore ground

Lt Roy

Marching on for the main event

French (aided by Marines) as enthusiastic as ever

We have charging the crowd down to a fine art

And we can yell in unison

After hours

The 95th (less our cadet) at the regimental dinner

The 95th organised Regency dancing - a smash hit

a relaxed atmosphere - plenty of opportunity enjoying the company and the marvellous weather
