Leeman is located 295 kilometres north of Perth on the
coast of Western Australia. Leeman is a small fishing hamlet ideal for
fishermen and holiday makers eager to get away from the more commercialised
centres. Near Jurien Bay, in the beautiful Coral Coast region of WA.
The town facilities include a liscenced sports club that provides lovely
meals at very reasonable prices.
There's a bowling green, football oval, and tennis and basket ball courts.
There is a police station and local silver chain nurse. Two petrol stations
and post office. A telecommunication centre provides computers with internet
capabilities. There are various specialty shops, a local supermarket and
bottle shop, and a laundromat. There are a couple of playgrounds and a
skate park. Boat launching facilites and marvelous fishing not far off
shore or you can buy fresh fish, or crayfish (in season), from local fishing
boats at the jetty.

The Local Area Attractions:
Calling itself the
'Home of Western Australia's Dhufish' the town boasts huge and dramatic
white sand dunes,
good beach and offshore fishing. Safe waters for surfing, swimming, and
sailboarding. Nearby reefs and islands
provide great snorkelling and scuba diving. An international windsurfing
mecca.

There are superb displays of wildflowers in the spring. This area is in
one of the most wildflower rich areas in Western Australia and flowering
plants can be seen from late July through to November.
Other
nearby attractions include the Greenhead Sea Lions, Lesueur National Park,
Drovers Cave National Park and Lake Indoon.
Tours
to view sea lions and whales (in season) can be arranged from Leeman,
as can dive charters and courses.
Lake Indoon, east of Leeman, is a lovely freshwater lake suitable for
recreational boating, canoeing, and windsurfing.
It is also a popular picnic spot, with barbecue facilities and washrooms.
