Step #1: Pull the bolt pin upwards and slide the bolt out the back of your Cyborg.

Step #2: Using a 5/64 allen key, unscrew the eye covers (counter-clockwise) and place to the side.

Step #3: Gently wiggle the eyes free of their sockets.

Step #4: Remove the ball-detents by unscrewing them counter-clockwise.

Step #5: Run a barrel swab through the breech. You may want to repeat this several times.

Step #6: Using a clean piece of paper towel, wipe any old paint off the eyes and ball detents. Wrap a piece of paper towel around your finger and insert it into the feedneck – wipe the inside of the feedneck and ensure no old paint or debris is present. Using a q-tip or scrunched piece of paper towel, clean the ball detent and eye sockets.

Step #7: Using a piece of paper towel, wipe the bolt clean and ensure it is free of old paint and debris. Make sure there is no grit lodged in the o-ring groves. If you have a Sonic or 06 bolt, apply a drop of Triflow or a light gun oil to each o-ring.

O-ringless variations of the bolt do NOT need oiling.

Step #8: It’s now time to reassemble your Cyborg. First, reinsert the eyes into their respective eye sockets. Screw the ball detents back in counter-clockwise -- do not screw them in too tight. Hand tight is sufficient. Using a 5/64 allen key, replace the eye cover screw and tighten by screwing clockwise. Slide the bolt back in and depress the bolt pin into the ram.

Do not over-tighten the eye cover screws or ball detents. Hand tight is sufficient.

You can check that you have re-aligned the eyes properly by observing the LED of your Cyborg’s board. Place your finger down the feedneck; the LED should switch from red to green.
