| Eva Afeaki Position: Guard Height: 183 / 6'0" From: NSW |
What the AIS said: - "Natural talent and flare for the game" - "Athletic style of play" |
In her debut season, she set a career high of 7 points in a game. As a starter in her second season, she has only registered numbers below that mark in three games. Afeaki's new career high of 19 came against Bulleen on Nov 8, 2003 in a 1 point thriller. She equaled that standard in her final game with the AIS on Feb 1, 2004.

| Gabrielle Richards Position: Centre Height: 186 / 6'1" From: VIC |
What the AIS said: - "Blue-collar work ethic" - "A strong physical inside presence" |
In her rookie season, she had highs of 20 points and 10 rebounds. This season she has equalled or surpassed those records - 4 times in points (including a new career high of 28 on Oct 11, 2003 against Townsville) and 7 times in rebounds.
Whilst predominantly spending most of her time in the post, Richards has the ability to step out and hit the occasional 3-pointer. Being selective in her long range shots, she has been able to maintain a 40% average from beyond the arc this season.
Just about every team, if not all, in the league need another post player and there will be stiff competition to sign her.

| Hanna Zavecz Position: Guard Height: 180 / 5'11" From: VIC |
What the AIS said: - "A highly respected junior from Victoria Country" - "A definite player to watch in the future." |
Missing 4 games with a right shoulder injury and having it taped for every game, it might take a bit more time for Zavecz to find a consistant shot. However she has shown she is capable of hitting her shots when given time and has proven to be invaluable for this AIS team - the AIS failing to win a game without her.

| Emma Pawlowski Position: Guard Height: 180 / 5'11" From: SA |
Highs Points: 6 Assists: 2 Rebounds: 2 |
Averages Points: 2.4 Assists: 0.4 Rebounds: 0.7 |
Totals Points: 24 Assists: 4 Rebounds: 7 |
|
| Comments: Pawlowski played well against Adelaide - hit a
few jumpshots in her home town. Like most of the team, she's been hit by
injury. |
||||
| Erin Seward Position: Guard Height: 171 / 5'7" From: NSW |
Highs Points: 9 Assists: 3 Rebounds: 6 |
Averages Points: 5.8 Assists: 1.3 Rebounds: 3.8 |
Totals Points: 35 Assists: 8 Rebounds: 23 |
|
| Comments: Technically she's a senior having been at the AIS
for two years. However since she's been plagued by injury, she only played
her first game this season. |
||||
| Rebecca Vanderjagt Position: Forward Height: 186 / 6'1" From: QLD |
Highs Points: 6 Assists: 1 Rebounds: 2 |
Averages Points: 1.1 Assists: 0.1 Rebounds: 0.9 |
Totals Points: 16 Assists: 2 Rebounds: 14 |
|
| Comments: She's been glued to the bench for most of the season.
She gets kudos because she was the only AIS player who looked right at
my camera (not exactly a kodak moment though). |
||||
| Rachel Warren Position: Forward Height: 188 / 6'2" From: QLD |
Highs Points: 12 Assists: 2 Rebounds: 7 |
Averages Points: 5.4 Assists: 0.4 Rebounds: 3.3 |
Totals Points: 81 Assists: 5 Rebounds: 50 |
|
| Comments: Warren's done rather well considering her limited
minutes and late arrival at the AIS. She's a selective shooter - takes
what she's given and converts a high percentage from the field. |
