A little background.........

A cappella is a musical term meaning "sung without a separate accompaniment."

Just about anything can be sung a cappella.

TACA  history
It began with the 1999 Festival - a celebration of the voice to warm the soul in winter months - featuring Tony Backhouse, Kate Swaddling and a host of local performers.
We incorporated in 2000 and ran The A Cappella Festival bi-annually until a few years ago when the Tasmanian government initiated Festival of Voices.

Membership
There are financial advantages to being a TACA member, but the best part is that you help to support the grass roots singing community of Tasmania.
