PTERANODON FACTS
Did you know that Pteranodon was one of the biggest reptiles that could fly ? He looked a bit like a giant bat with a huge head !
His wings could go out to nine metres and he could weigh up to twenty-five kilograms.
Pteranodon was a carnivore. "Carnivore" means meat-eater. But Pteranodon mainly ate fish, because he had a big, long bill for scooping fish out of the water.
Some scientists think that Pteranodon had oil hair or fur to keep him warm and dry, but no one knows for sure.
Pteranodon might not have been really happy with his name - it means "without teeth but has wings!
