TYRANNOSAURUS REX FACTS
Did you know that Tyrannosaurus is the most famous dinosaur of all ? He is often called the King of the Dinosaurs.
The name Tyrannosaurus Rex actually means "terrible lizard." Tyranno means 'bad,' Saurus means 'lizard,' and Rex means 'king.'

Tyrannosaurus was big enough to hunt the biggest plant-eaters. It could grow to over twelve metres long, six metres tall and could weigh as much as seven tonnes. That's about the same as seven average cars !
Tyrannosaurus was certainly a terrifying animal, but he was probably not the biggest meat-eater !
